What is an ROV?
ROV stands for Remote Operated Vehicle. The ROV is an underwater vehicle that is used for many purposes, such as maintenance, recovery, and marine exploration. It is controlled by an operator from above the surface through a control box that is connected to the vehicle by a tether. ROVs are used by organizations such as private corporations, the government, and scientific institutions.
